Curriculum Vitae:

Bernhard Brands completed his studies in the fields of Business Law and International Business in Germany and Sweden, earning the academic degree of Business Lawyer (Diploma, German University of Applied Sciences). Subsequently, he engaged in activities as a guest lecturer at a university of applied sciences, lecturer at an educational institute, project manager, as well as a consultant and data protection advisor for German medium-sized enterprises. In order to take on new challenges, Bernhard Brands founded Brands Consulting and continues to serve the company as its owner to this day.

Professional experience:

  • External Data Protection Officer: Appointed in numerous companies and corporations as well as for social institutions under both Protestant and Catholic sponsorship.
  • Data Protection Consultant / Business Consultant: Engages in activities for companies, corporations, and public authorities / public-law corporations.
  • Data Protection Officer: Engages in activities for companies and corporations in an international context.
  • Data Protection Auditor: Conducts audits in companies, corporations, as well as for social institutions under both Protestant and Catholic sponsorship.
  • Lecturer: Has experience as a lecturer at universities of applied sciences, academies, educational institutions, in companies, corporations, and public-law corporations.

Lebenslauf:

Das Studium der Bereiche Wirtschaftsrecht und International Business in Deutschland und Schweden schloss Bernhard Brands mit dem akademischen Grad des Dipl.-Wirtschaftsjurist (FH) ab. Im Anschluss folgten Tätigkeiten als Gastdozent an Fachhochschule, Dozent an Bildungsinstitut, Projektleiter sowie Consultant und Datenschutzberater in Unternehmen des deutschen Mittelstandes. Um sich neuen Herausforderungen zu stellen, gründete Bernhard Brands die Brands Consulting und führt bis zum heutigen Tage seine Tätigkeit für das Unternehmen als Inhaber fort.

Berufspraxis:

  • Externer Datenschutzbeauftragter: Bestellt in zahlreichen Unternehmen und Konzernen sowie für soziale Einrichtungen in evangelischer und katholischer Trägerschaft.
  • Datenschutzberater / Unternehmensberater: Tatigkeiten für Unternehmen, Konzerne und Behörden / Körperschaften des öffentlichen Rechts.
  • Data Protection Officer: Tatigkeiten für Unternehmen und Konzerne im internationalen Umfeld.
  • Datenschutzauditor: Auditierung in Unternehmen, Konzernen sowie für soziale Einrichtungen in evangelischer und katholischer Trägerschaft.
